Support Desk Technician
Support Desk Technicians provide technical assistance, support and advice to customers and other users. These Technicians typically handle support tasks that do not require a physical presence near the customer. They are the first contact point for customers requiring assistance. Their primary focus is the needs of the end user and desktop systems. Examples of tasks include:
- Remotely troubleshoots and disgnoses problems, make adjustments, repair and/or performs preventative maintenance on computers, printers, fax machines, scanners, and other preipheral devices.
- Processing regulatory paperwork.
- Backup and restore files on users desktop and laptop systems.
- Document common problems and resolutions.
- Work in a team effort to help the maintenance and service operations become successful.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year experience in support of information technology.
- Should possess a current certificate of at least one of either of the following: Microsoft MCP, MCSE, or MCSA in Windows XP/2003 or later; Cisco CCNA, CCDA, CCDP, CCSP, CCIP, CCVP, or any CCIE
- This is a full time position

Network Support Technician
Network Support Technicians provide technical assistance, support, and advice to customers and other users. The Technician typically handles support tasks that require a physical presence near the customer or are beyond the skill level or ability of the Help Desk. The primary focus is the needs of the end user and desktop systems.
Requirements: Skill/Ability to:
- Cisco router and switch configuration experience in a production environment
- Must be able to configure switchports, vlans, basic routing protocol configuration, and create static routes
- Understand basic network troubleshooting techniques using trace, telnet, and ping
- Knowledge of routing protocols and how to troubleshoot their operation
- Understand VPN, firewall rules, and access lists
- Ability and knowledge working in Cisco IOS
- Desire to learn VOIP and administer a Cisco phone system
- Design and analyze server hardware and software
- Determine what is causing an operating error and determine a resolution
Training/Certifications/Experience:
- Must have at least 5 years experience in support of IT with 2 years as a Network Support Technician or equivalent
- Must possess a current certificate of at least one of each of the following or equivalent experience: Microsoft MCP, MCSE, or MCSA in Windows XP/2003 or later; Cisco CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, CCIP, CCVP, or any CCIE
- This is a full time position
